Serial port not shown

Use a USB data cable, close Arduino/PlatformIO serial monitors, reconnect USB and retry in Chrome/Edge.

Cannot enter bootloader

Hold BOOT, press and release RESET/EN, release BOOT, then click Install again.

Installed but no setup AP

Press RESET/EN once and wait. If the device repeatedly resets, use the advanced Device Studio/recovery workflow rather than repeatedly reflashing blindly.

Wrong board

Do not install the N16R8 release on an unvalidated board. Use only firmware explicitly published for that target.
